have been losing weight (35 lbs) over the past 6 months - but i havnt been "trying" to - im just losing it - and the weird thing is when i think of the foods i eat they are all very high in sugar and im not sure if there is something wrong with my body. all my blood tests turn out negitive. am i at risk of a thyroid problem?
Answer:
It is possible. Have you been more active or have started taking a new medication? I would go back to the doctor and tell them what is going on, they should know what to test you for.
You need to ask for a copy of your thyroid test and do your research on about.thyroid.com to find out more details about ranges. I do not recommend you to eat high sugar content foods as it can put havoc on your body. Not sure why you are losing weight but you should be persistently telling about this to your doctor. Losing weight is the complications of some diseases so a doctor supervising you is strongly recommended. Also - do you feel gittery, are you sleeping well, how is your heart rate and there are so many other issues that can play a role - please seek professional help soon. Try consuming better foods like vegetables, fruits, lean meat, beans, instead of processed sugary stuff. Based on the limited info - this is the best I can recommend to you. I wish you good health and good luck!
